Sunday Goods is an Arizona-based cannabis company with an overarching brand ethos that shines through in their retail experiences. Positioned as an upmarket alternative to typical dispensary experiences, Sunday Goods stands as an innovative cannabis retailer.

The company cultivates their own branded cannabis at their 320,000 square-foot greenhouse and sells it to medical dispensaries throughout Arizona and California. Their most recent offering includes disposable vape pens that incorporate self-care elements like aromatherapy.

Grown in Arizona

Arizona climate provides ideal conditions for growing various vegetables. Okra, potatoes and tomatoes are popular crops; during hotter months peppers and squash may also be grown by farmers. Arizona-grown veggies offer quality produce with distinct Arizona flavor that you won’t find elsewhere.

The Scottsdale store breaks away from the typical cannabis shop aesthetic; featuring art collaborations, an airy layout set against desert scenery and an airy design make the space feel more like a luxurious hotel lobby than a dispensary. Working closely with Manhattan-based design firm Mythology to craft an experience tailored to appeal to millennials was key in creating such an immersive retail experience.

Arizona store Marigold Collective provides an assortment of flower and pre-rolls in various strains and cannabinoid levels to meet individual customers’ specific needs. Their goal is to help customers “Feel Good” with cannabis experiences tailored specifically for each person. They even provide a subscription service that delivers top-quality products directly to customer doors!

Crafted in California

Sunday Goods’s products take an Instagram-friendly approach to packaging and product, appealing to young female cannabis consumers driving this boom. Their products resemble something out of Glossier or Aesop’s product lineup: lemon rosemary hard candies, THC-laced rice krispie treats, rose gold vape pens – everything one would find from Glossier or Aesop combined! A far cry from marijuana’s outdated image of dim home deliveries with garishly colored edibles.

“The Pharm” greenhouse provides another level of quality control for this brand, operating as one of Arizona’s top sun-grown facilities with experienced grower Sjoerd Broeks overseeing it alongside cofounder Christian Karayannides who boasts 20 years of running large greenhouses for cucumber and tomato growing.

Gin Lane, the firm responsible for creating millennial-friendly branding strategies for brands such as Sweetgreen and Harry’s, designed Sunday Goods’ metallic pastel vape pens to feature an elliptical shape slightly longer than a cigarette and come with multiple effects such as Rest (perfect for pairing with hot baths or reading), Spark, and Soothe.

Designed in New York

Cannabis can be an incredible tool to help people relax, but everyone’s experience varies widely. What you crave during a Friday night out may differ significantly from what’s needed on Monday morning when working late into the night is approaching. Sunday Goods recognizes this, which is why they have created THC Effect vape pens to meet individual moments in life.

Each effect is carefully crafted using medical-grade, pesticide and PGR free flower, while The Sunday Goods Rest Vape Pen offers an exquisite balance between THC, CBD and CBN to produce a soothing experience that induces relaxation and serenity.

Zero, a New York-based design and strategy studio known for creating trendsetting brands for clients, was hire to design the packaging for Sunday Goods. Their highly sophisticated packs convey their intended effects most effectively.

Delivered to your door

Subscription service Sunday Goods provides customers with exactly what they need when they need it. After taking a lawn diagnostic quiz and signing up with them, Sunday uses historical weather data, climate trends and satellite imagery to select an optimal fertilizer blend and address any deficiencies identified by their soil sample analysis.

Add-on products include weed killer, additional seed and gardening accessories that can purchase separately or added onto deliveries. Their annual Smart Lawn Plan covers everything needed for healthy lawn throughout the year in four shipments.

Sunday Goods’ flagship store in Phoenix goes beyond the typical dispensary mold with artist collaborations and bright, airy design resembling more of a hotel lobby than head shop. Yet despite their luxurious aesthetics, Sunday Goods remains committed to reducing cost-of-lawn-care products; therefore making premium lawn-care services accessible for most consumers.
