New York-based multistate vertically operator Greenleaf Compassion Center acquired by Ascend in 2021 was previously unable to sell recreational pot.
Ascend Montclair is a walk-in retail shop dedicat to adult use of marijuana, offering customers products on kiosks while being assist by staff who provide information about medical conditions that can be treat using cannabis. Ascend’s Montclair location may be smaller than Rochelle Park’s location – which currently serves 2,000 customers daily – but Ascend still expects it to be very busy. Furthermore, plans exist for future locations to open across Essex County.
